My passion for art started early. As a small child my crayons, felt pens and paper went everywhere I went! This was the foundation for my future education.

I started my career in graphic design in the 7th grade when I won an award for a student designed advertisement for the local newspaper. In high school, the love of design motivated me to obtain an ROP Graphic Design certification and also a prominent internship at a print shop in Nevada City, California. This internship led to a job in their pre-press and on-demand digital printing department where I spent several years learning the ins and outs of print production.

I received my Bachelors in Graphic Design from Sacramento State University in 2006. I was asked to join a small, but established design firm in Sacramento, California where I have worked on a wide variety of jobs ranging from website design, posters, marketing materials, and numerous publications. I have taken various local freelance jobs. I enjoy working with people; that is where my design strength lies. I am a great listener and try to integrate good creative design with a client's needs while providing an enjoyable experience.

A partial list of clients I've worked with include:
• California Society of Enrolled Agents
• California Mortgage Bankers Association
• California Science Teachers Association
• K-12 Alliance
• Fresh Producers
• Girl Scouts Heart of Central California
• Sacred City Derby Girls
• Shaffers Originals Photography

I am more than just a Graphic Designer...

I am fun, and sweet. I like to watch cartoons. I am tall. I love Cat Stevens, David Bowie, and 1960s french pop music. I sew, knit and cook. I own a very small collection of vinyl. Elvis Presley rocks my world. I like to draw. I own a guitar but can only play one song on it. I love to play video games. I'm a vegetarian.

All of us are more than our job title describes, just as most of us have more skills than a job title could ever portray. In our lives we wear many hats. I love to create. I love mocking up designs before showing a client. I get giddy when I see a finished piece of any kind. So much love goes into everything we create, and I think that is why design is so powerful.
